91 C. E. BARNS. PHILADELPHIA SHOW. JUNE 16, 1913. JULIE GONZALES. 8 min. F.S. Makes a good opener. Does trapeze stunts, swinging from ring to ring across stage. Makes a good appearance and all of her paraphernalia is in good taste. Closed fairly well. CHALK SAUNDERS. 9 min. in one. A good line of talk and clever cartoons. Held the spot very acceptably. Closed well. HERBERT & GOLDSMITH. 10 min. Open in one with a good song and dance number, close in three with a beautiful full stage act in which Miss Goldsmith does "The Dance of the Siren," which is quite sensational and received good applause. STAN STANLEY TRIO. 17 min. This act certainly woke up the house in great shape. The "rube" comedian is certainly the goods both in front and behind the footlights, and when it comes to his work on the bounding mat, he is positively a scream. Won big applause as the act well deserved. Act could hold any spot with credit. WILLA HOLT WAKEFIELD. 16 min. in one. Miss Wakefield is a great favorite here and everything she did went very strong. New line of stuff and all of it splendid. Excellent applause and will count particularly well with our evening audience. JOHN MILTERN & CO. "The Girl." 17 min. F.S. This is a well written sketch and forcefully presented. Made a good impression with the audience and closed well. CONROY & LEMAIRE. 21 min. "The New Physician." The best sketch that these boys have ever put on. A scream from the rise of the curtain to the finish. All new material in their own individual vein. Held the spot in great shape. WRIGHT & DITRICH. 20 min. Both make a fine appearance, Miss Dietrich making one change of costume. Splendid line of songs put over in very effective manner. Every one of them got a fine hand. Held the place in excellent style. Compelled to give an encore to strong applause. NEPTUNE'S GARDEN. 19 min. This act went just as strong as previously, and received just as much applause. One of the greatest features in vaudeville and should continue to pull the coin. KINETOPHOME. "The Sextet from Lucia." Fair. GENERAL REMARKS. This is a very good show with plenty of comedy, a corking good sketch and good musical numbers. A well-balanced bill throughout.
