106 SCENIC TEMPLE Vaudeville and Motion Pictures EXEC. OFFICE: UNION THEATRE UNION STREET PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND MAIN STREET PHONE PAWTUCKET 356 Pawtucket, R. I. Report on acts playing the Scenic Temple,Week of July 7, 1913. Baby Gladys. Works in one. She is only 4 years old, and is billed as the youngst toedancer in the world. She does singing and toe-dancing, one of her best numbers being the Sailor's Hornpipe. She went very good. Does 12 minutes. Gordon and Kinley. They work 14 minutes before a special drop in one. Singing, talking and acrobatic Dancing. Their act is entitled "In Toyland" Went fair. The Minstrel Four. Four men, who work in one 15 minutes. The act is a minstrel act on a small scale. Singing, jokes, etc. The soloist is very good. A very good act, and it went good. Ismed. A Turkish pianist who works in full stage, 12 minutes. He uses a special set, playing on a baby grand piano. His first number is Liszt's Phantasie, the second is the Prologue and Sextet from Lucia Di [Lanmermoor?], which he plays with his left hand only, and he closes with The Hungarian March which he renders especially well. Went good. AN/D Report on acts playing The Scenic Temple, Week of July 10, 1913. Shw seen Monday matinee by C.L.McNally. Copper and Eschell. Man and woman. Work 13 minutes in one. A well-dressed singing act, the lady of the act wearing some very pretty gowns. A fair act. The Wealyn Trio. Work in full stage,closing before their own plush drop in one. Two women and one man. They play a sketch with singing and dancing. As there is no plot to the sketch it lacks interest, and on the whole the act is without exception the poorest that we have ever played in the house. Does 15 minutes. Wilson and Gallagher. Two comedians who work 13 minutes in one. Singing, talking, and pianologue. A good act. Both use blackface. Ismed.--Still going good.
