123 CRITICISM B.F. KEITH'S UNION SQUARE THEATRE. WEEK OF JULY 28TH BAISDEN "The Comedian on Wheels". A man in eccentric costume, giving a series of cycle stunts with a fairly good line of patter. Pleasing little opening act. Eleven minutes, full stage. MOORE AND YOUNG Two good looking young ladies, making several changes of costume with bright songs and eccentric dances. Greatly appreciated and an act that could go further down on the bill. Eight minutes in one. CLAYTON KENNEDY AND MATTIE ROONEY Too well known for any comment. Held their own here in splendid manner. Twenty-one minutes, full stage, Close in one. EDNA SHOWALTER Makes a charming appearance, and possesses a pleasing soprano voice, without any great amount of volume. She seems to be appreciated. Nine minutes in one. JAS. T. DUFFY AND MERCEDES LORENZE Presenting a very neat skit called, "Springtime" Containing bright patter, original songs and some lively dances. Brought the first big hand of the day. Eighteen minutes in one. Special drop. FIVE SULLYS Well known. Another hit. Nineteen minutes, full stage, encore in one. HERSHEL HENDLER A clean cut young chap, giving a splendid repertoire of piano solos. A great pianist and knows how to get his act over. Eighteen minutes in one. BARNES & CRAWFORD The one big hit of the bill. Knockout at every performance. Thirty minutes, full stage, close in one. THE CASTILLIANS Bronze reproductions of Masterpieces in statuary. Giving eleven excellent subjects and each received with big applause. Quite novel and would show to better advantage if placed earlier on the bill. Seven minutes, full stage.
