136 B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON - WEEK AUGUST 18 - 1913. (R. G. Larsen.) LORETTA TWINS' CO. 7 minutes f.s. Garden. Two girls and two boys in a fast bar act that made a splendid opener. BURKE, KING and WALSH. 13 minutes in one. Olio. A very neat two-man-and-a-girl singing and dancing act that got over in very good shape. CAPTAIN GEORGE AUGER and CO. in "Jack, The Giant Killer." 15 minutes f.s. Auger has two new people in the cast. The new Princess is much better than the woman who formerly played the part, but I regret to say that the other change is not such a happy one. The comedy that the other midget got so much out of, failed to get across at all to-day. Under the circumstances, I am afraid I could not advise anyone to play the act. IRWIN and HERZOG. 8 minutes in one. O.P. Drapery. A conventional two-man singing act that went fairly well. FIVE SULLY FAMILY. 19 minutes f.s. Special set. Same big laughing hit as on their previous visit. FOSTER BALL and FORD WEST. 21 minutes in one. Garden. This is a very good comedy act in one, with the added charm of novelty. The characters are an old G. A. R. veteran, and a feeder, who appears first as a policeman and later as a young city chap. The act got over strongly at both performances to-day. AMELIA STONE and ARMAND KALISZ in "Mon Amour." 21 minutes f.s. Tapestry C. D. F. A rather dainty little operetta, two [too] well known on the circuit to require any description. Went over in good shape. KRAMER and MORTON. 14 minutes in one. Street. This was a hard spot for these two boys, but they got away with it in pretty good shape. OXFORD TRIO playing BASKETBALL ON BICYCLES. 10 minutes f.s. Garden. Here is a crackerjack novelty. The game is played by two men, one representing England, the other America, mounted on bicycles and armed with sticks. They use a big rubber ball, the contestants being forbidden to strike the ball with their hands. The play is at times very exciting, with numerous spills, and it held the interest of the audience to the very finish. CUTS: Sully Family - talk about hosiery - word 'rotten' - business of kicking young man. Ball and West - "damn." George Auger - business of thumbing nose. Burke, King & Walsh - "Goody, goody, good" song.
