HUDSON THEATRE, UNION HILL, N.J. WEEK SEPT. 1, 1913. Jos. R. Smith. ZEDA AND HOOT---- Man and a woman in a novelty dancing and contortion act. This is a pretty act, the opening being a jungle scene, the man appearing as an alligator with electric lights in the head and from which he shoots fire and the woman appearing as an owl. They both change costumes and while he performs several feats the woman does some dancing. Very fair opening act. F.S. 9 min. JEROME AND LEWIS---- Two colored men, one dressed as a woman. They sing several songs. The female impersonator creates much laughter at the close of the act by removing his wig. Both possess very fair voices and the act went very good. In one 14 min. GUS EDWARD'S BINGVILLE CABARET---- As the name implies this is a regular cabaret act comprising 21 people. The scene is the yard of a country home. The village boys and girls, being disappointed over the failure of regular performers to visit the town decide to give a show themselves. The opening is very pretty being a number of the girls entering the stage aboard a wagonload of hay. After giving two songs from their seats in the hay they jump to the stage and then in turn every member of the party does a stunt, the act concluding with a very funny auction sale of an imitation horse, the legs of which are filled by two men who do some dancing while in the horse skin. With slight improvement in a few members of the cast this act should go very big. It went very good. time of act 45 min. INTERMISSION---- FRIEND AND LESSER--- Man and a woman in a singing and talking sketch, "The Butler and the Maid". They make two changes of costume, sing several songs and get their stuff over in nice shape. The act went very well. In one 18 min. BERT LESLIE IN "HOGAN? THE PAINTER".----- Three men and a woman. Leslie being as funny as ever, this clever act went very good. Time of act 18 min. O'BRIEN, DENNET AND O'BRIEN---- Two men and a woman in a singing and dancing skit. One of the men plays the piano during the entire act and joins in the singing. The woman makes two costume changes. They finish the act with a fast Texas Tommy dance. The act went good. In one 16 min. INZA AND LORELIA---- Two men in a comedy acrobatic act. The feature of the act is their performance of a number of aerial acrobatic stunts in which they somersault from a high board to the stage. Only a fair closing act. F.S. 10 min. HUDSONGRAPH--- O.K.
