C. E. BARNS. PHILADELPHIA SHOW. SEPT. 22, 1913. LOVE & WILBUR. 8 min. F.S. Fine appearing man and woman in stunning costumes. Have very showy paraphernalia and do some excellent stunts on the flying rings and trapeze. A good opener and well applauded. BRITT WOOD. 10 min. in one. Began his act rather mildly, but soon caught the audience with his mouth-organ playing and eccentric dancing and was compelled to give an encore. Closed big. ISMED. 11 min. F.S. Carries his own drop and makes a picturesque appearance in Turkish costume. Plays classical selections in dashing style and got particularly big applause after the "Lucia" selection played with the left hand. Closed with a brilliant Hungarian March. Took five curtain calls. CHARLES & FANNY VAN. 17 min. in one. Advance applause. Van is a favorite here and had no difficulty in winning his audience right from the first with his typical line of nonsense. Introduced a lot of new material and all of it went big. Closed to big applause. EDDIE FOY. 16 min. Big advance applause. Of course, everything that Eddie Foy did got laughter and applause from all parts of the house. Has some excellent material, but of course, it is the personality of the man that counts. His little people are quite clever and of course their songs, dances and imitations won the crowd all the way through, the closing hand being so strong that Foy was compelled to make a little speech. Philadelphia gave them a good welcome. JOSEPHINE DUNFEE. 15 min. in one. A beautiful woman with a wonderful voice, which she knows how to use with the very best effect. Sang three songs charmingly and was compelled to give an encore. Closed strong. THREE TYPES. 10 min. The most beautiful posing act that we have ever shown here, being far out of the "living model" class and getting immense applause for each picture. This act would seem to be the last word in the living-picture line. CAMERON & O'CONNOR. 17 min. in one. These boys held down this hard spot with credit. Have a very amusing line of conversation interspersed with songs and eccentric dancing. Laughter and applause throughout and made a fine close. THREE BARTOS. 7 min. F.S. A trio of handsome athletes who work on a carpet without paraphernalia and who do some remarkably clever stunts which get plenty of applause. Made a big finish after one of the best strong-man feats ever seen here. KINETOGRAPH. The usual interesting Pathe films of current events -- thirteen subjects in number. GEN. REM. This is a pippin of a show with plenty of comedy material. Revised, the program will run as follows:- A Orchestra B Love & Wilbur C Britt Wood D Ismed E Chas. & Fannie Van F Three Types G Cameron & O'Connor H Josephine Dunfee I Eddie Foy & Co. J Three Bartos K Pictures L Exit March
