The two white men accompanied by well gowned women visit the garden and ask the orientals to entertain them. The two chinamen, one dressed as the girl do a Texas Tommy dance and one of the chinamen plays ragtime selections on a guitar. Also the white men and women sing and do a Texas Tommy concluding the act with them all joining in a song and dance. The act went very well. F.S. 10 min. in one 5 min. Time of act 15 min. "POOR OLD JIM" featuring Joseph Jefferson. The act has two men and a woman. Scene a living room. The story is about a husband who is inclined to strong drink and who is wrecking his health and his wife's happiness. His doctor advises him to quit drinking or he will die. The husband promises, but comes home drunk. The doctor and the wife proceed to carry out a plan to make the husband think he is dead when he wakes up and makes him believe he is a ghost. The plan is clever and is worked out nicely being crowded with laughs. The husband is on the stage and talks to his wife and the doctor, but they ignore him. He tries to pull them, but they resist him. He tries to pick up a telegram, but can't because it is glued to the table. And in other ways they finally convince him is is only a spirit. They bring him back to life in a funny fashion. The act is genuinely funny and one of the best ever produced at this house. It went very good. Time of act 20 min. INTERMISSION---- ALBERT VON TILZER, assisted by Dorothy Nord. While Von Tilzer plays the piano Miss Nord sings very sweetly. The well known songwriter also sings several selections himself. Miss Nord makes three costume changes and each gown is beautiful. Von Tilzer appears in evening clothes. The act went very good. In two 15 min. CANTWELL AND WALKER---- Man and a woman with a comedy skit in which they do some singing and dancing. Has a lot of humorous talk that gets over in great shape. The act carries a special drop representing the front of a New York Cabaret restaurant. The act is easily the applause hit of the bill. In one 19 min. EIGHT COGUETTES with Lillian Crossman and Henry Pauli in a musical comedietta, "Springtime". The scene is an elaborate garden that is very pretty. A number of good dances and singing numbers are introduced. All the company possess good voices and Crossman and Pauli do a clever Texas Tommy at the close. The entire cast has two costume changes that are very pretty. The act went very well. Time of act 20 min. HUDSONGRAPH--- The Harry K. Thaw pictures causing considerable interest. The audience sits throughout watching intently until the last view.
