Colored man and woman, work before own drop in two,16 minutes.Singing, talking, and eccentric dancing by the man.The man also sings some parodies. A well-dressed act, making three or four changes. Pleased. Mlle Beldon and Co. Full stage,C.D.F.,two men and one woman,in a comedy sketch "Oh Doctor" 17 minutes. Went fair. Edwin George. Works in one. Juggling monologist. 12 minutes. His juggling does not amount to much, but his good monologue gets him by,in fact he pleased the audience very much. At night,he went very big,in fact he was a big hit. The Musical Gordon Highlanders. Three men and one woman. A singing, dancing, bagpipe playing, and musical act, some of the instruments used being the xylophone, cornet ,trombone, organ, and chimes. This is a very good act,and it was a big hit, comparing favorably with any act that we have had here this year,in fact being the biggest hit that we have had this season. In regard to Rogers and Dorman, they are blackface instead of colored as stated above. [preprinted] Pawtucket, R.I. [/preprinted] Report on acts playing The Scenic Temple, week of Sept. 225,1913. Show seen by C.L.McNally, matinee and evening. The Three O'Neill Sisters. Work 16 minutes in one. A singing, dancing, and costume change act. They have good voices, and wear pretty costumes. They do a little comedy, which is fair. One of the girls sings a solo which is very good. Went very good. A very good act. Val Trainor and Company. Three women and one man. Work in full stage C.D.F.,about 15 minutes.A sort of skit into which is introduced some fair singing, and some absurd stories of the war, told by Mr. Trainor in the character of an old veteran. Some laughs, but no applause, except a slight one at the finish, which is quite funny. One of the good spots in the act,is an Irish dance by the old man. A fair act on the whole. Went fair. Spink and Tate. An exceptionally good straight singing act. All of the songs are new, several having been written by Mr. Spink himself. The woman has an excellent voice, and the man is not far behind. The man also is a good piano player, playing the accompaniments very well. The act was very well received. The act is well appearing, the woman wearing several pretty gowns. About 16 minutes in one. Brown,Harris and Brown. Two men and one woman. Singing, comedy talking, and comedy. The act features the eccentric comedian,Hank Brown, who has the house convulsed the largest part of the time that he is on the stage. Mrs Harris also sings a solo very well. Mr. "Hank" Brown's comedy is the largest part of the act,but his support is good. He wears a burlesque on evening dress, and in his course of tumblings and falls he gets himself so covered with dust that he is funny, just to look at if he did not do a thing. Mrs Harris wears some pretty costumes. 16 minutes of laughter. He "cleaned up" having to make a speech. The woman in the act is not the same that was here before, butis as good if not better than the other one.
