HUDSON THEATRE, UNION HILL, N.J. WEEK SEPT. 29, 1913. Joseph R. Smith. THREE AMERICAN ATHLETES---- Three men in a sensational acrobatic act that is good enough to close any show. They do many clever stunts from nets and high stands. The act went very good. F.S. 7 min. EVELEEN FLAVELLE DUNMORE--- In two handsome costumes she sweetly sings several classical selections. she has considerable personality and gets her number over well. The act went very well. In one 10 min. "THE AUTO BANDIT"----Seven men and two women in three scenes. The first is the interior of a garage. The daughter of the foreman of the garage is in love with a well dressed man who later develops to be an auto-bandit. The girl is loved by a bicycle cop, but she spurns him for the well dressed stranger. He takes her out riding in a machine and uses her as a stall while he robs a wealthy old man. After the crime they return to the garage. The girl tells her father what has taken place and he has to shield the bandit in order to save his daughter. But while his daughter goes home to recover from the shock the old man tries to keep the bandit until he can summon the police. The bandit puts up a fight and beats the old man with a revolver. The scene shifts to the exterior of the garage and the bandit gets away in a car. The police arrive and the bicycle cop in love with the girl starts after the bandit. The scene shifts again showing the bandit in the auto being chased by the cop. After a thrilling ride he leaps from the bicycle into the auto and overpowers and arrests the bandit. This race is rather thrilling and looks real. The act went very well. Time of act 24 min. INTERMISSION---- MANNE AND BELLE---- Two girls who sing four songs and make two costume changes. Only a fair act. In one 12 min. CLAYTON WHITE AND COMPANY presenting "Cherie" a comedy with a cast of two men and two women. This is the same act with Clayton as funny as ever. The cast is good, the women being especially well gowned. The act went very good. Interior set, 15 min. BILLY DAVIS--- Blackface comedian with a humorous monologue and some good songs. He gets the audience to join in the chorus of the last number and is easily the applause hit of the bill. In one 19 min. GUS. EDWARD'S YANKEE DOODLE SCOUTS---- Twenty four boys and one girl. This is a patriotic musical comedy with the principal feature a drill by the boys in khaki uniforms. This is the best point in the act, the songs and comedy being weak. The act went only fair. F.S. with special scenery, 35 min. HUDSONGRAPH---- O.K.
