CRITICISM B.F. KEITH'S UNION SQUARE WEEK of OCTOBER 6TH. THE STANLEYS Well known. Very interesting and novel and opened the show in splendid manner. Nine minutes in two. WEBER, BECK AND FRAZER Three young men of good appearance in a rathskeller act. Have good voices, work fast and get their songs over. Eleven minutes in one. "THE AUTO BANDIT" Presented by Eddie Clark, with a company of seven men and two women. A tabloid melodramatic sketch in three scenes. The story is very interesting, being a timely topic, holds the audience. The scenery and effects are good, particularly the auto chase by the bicycle policeman, which received spontaneous applause and carried the play over. Twenty-two minutes. ELEANOR ST. CLAIR A young lady of pleasing personality giving several songs and a few stories. Her repertoire consists of Italian and Jewish songs in broken English. Compelled to change her selections, as she is unable to sing a straight ballad. Her offering for this house, where the Jewish element predominates, is all right, but I doubt if she would be of value elsewhere. Fourteen minutes in one. WM. WESTON AND COMPANY Well known. A great novelty and the applause hit of the bill. Twenty-one minutes, full stage, including an encore of four minutes. HALLEY AND NOBLE Man and women, in songs, dances and bright patter. The woman makes a great appearance, possesses a splendid voice and is an excellent feeder for the man, who scores numerous laughs by his eccentric mannerisms. The woman received strong applause for her song, while the man assisted greatly in putting the act over by his dancing. They held their own here and were compelled to encore. Sixteen minutes in one.
