B.F. KETIH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, OHIO. WEEK of Oct. 12th, 1913. John F. Royal. THE BE ANOS 7 min. in two. Land. Close in One. Man and woman in contortion act. This act is good, but a little too tame for the show at this house. Very little life, but tricks are good and well done. HOLMES AND BUCHANAN 12 min. in two C.D.F. Man and woman, both with good voices, in a clean, clever singing act that would have gone better a little later on the bill. Old-fashioned songs well sung were the feature of this act. This act can do three minutes close in one. They They went over in good shape, considering the early spot. RAY CONLON 18 min. in One. Olio. Clean cut well groomed young man with a ventriloquist offering. He has a different line of material than any of the others, and put it over in great shape. He had the audience laughing all the way and scored a great closing. DELMORE AND LEE 13 min. F.S. special Cyclorama. This well known act was practically ruined because they found it impossible to work their apparatus properly, as the Goldin act took up so much room. Considering the terrible disadvantage, they did very well. LEWIS AND DODY 19 min. in One. Street. Two young men in singing and talking act - one playing Hebrew, and one playing Italian. Went over big. The songs went well and the comedy brought forth spontaneous laughter. Well Liked. PERCY WARAM AND COMPANY 19 min. F.S. Special. Two men and a woman in a real English comedy "The Boson's Mate". Despite the late spot on the bill, this act made a genuine hit. It was something different than they have seen here for some time, and it surely pleased the audience. The set is a very striking one. The act interested all the way and closed strong. FAY 2 COLEYS AND FAY 14 min. in One. Two men and two women in a blackface act, singing, talking and dancing. They work fast and clever. Got big laughs and instilled a lot of life into their part of the show. HORACE GOLDIN 40 min. F.S. Special set. Well known illusionist with a tremendous big company and production, offering his act in three series. Mr. Goldin's impersonation of oldtime illusionists did not create and great stir. He works fast and holds the interest. The second series shows a number of illusions and shows nothing new. It was not until the last part of the act entitled "The Tiger God", that the audience really became worked up. They were certainly mystified and pleased at this pantomimic illusion. Mr. Goldin got very little applause at the finish of his act, but it was easy to be seen that the audience were interested, as they went out discussing "I wonder how he did it". LOCAL PICTURES Very interesting. P.S. Houses playing Goldin should be careful as to what other acts are on the bill, as his tremendous amount of properties and the tiger cage is likely to handicap other acts on the bill.
