REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW WEEK OCT. 13, 1913..W.W. PROSSER. LANDRY BROTHERS: Aerial gymnasts. Made quite good as an opener, holding attention throughout and finishing strong. Palace in 4, 6 min. (Open) MERRITT & DOUGLAS: Two men in singing and dancing number. Did quite well, but nothing big. Got some good laughs but dragged things out too much. Finished quite strong. Olio in 1, 16 min. (Cleveland) LORRAINE & DUDLEY: In a one-act comedy. This is a good laughing skit, capably presented by one man and two women. Held attention throughout and finished strong. Special in 4, 16 min. (Chicago) HINES & FOX: Two young men in a typical piano act. They seemed to be capable enough but their material was not especially well received. In a general way they got along alright and finished fairly strong. Olio in 1, 18 minutes. (Madison, Wis) LASKY'S "RED HEADS" (Featuring James B. Carson). A very excellent and pretentious comedy. Plenty of singing and style. A genuine hit all the way through with honors to the comedian. Had them going all the time and finished strong. Special in 4, 51 minutes. (Cleveland) CHRIS RICHARDS: Well known English comedian. Made good, notwithstanding the difficulty of following the Lasky act. got along alright and finished strong. Olio in 1, 10 minutes. (Cleveland) BERT WHEELER & CO: Novelty Juggling act with quite a number of laughs gained through good work. Held attention well and finished fairly strong. Special in 4, 10 minutes. (Atlanta) MOTION PICTURES: Columbus Style Show: O.K.
