231 R.S. Robbins WASHINGTON SHOW Oct. [October] 20, 1913. THE GLOCKERS, Charles & Anna - 13 min. F.S. Remarkable baton and water jugglers, interspersed with good comedy. Much action, and the act went well. 13 Min. THE CABARET TRIO. 16 min. in one. Three men well groomed One a remarkable piano player, the other two fair singers and good dancers. The act was well applauded. 16 Min. BERT MELROSE. 15 min. F.S. Great Pantomimist and clown. Audience intensely amused throughout this act. Mr. Melrose's comedy is genuine and was rewarded with continuous laughter, and he received a very good hand after his sensational fall at finish. 15 Min. BESSIE WYNN. 20 min. in one. Charmed her audience with four excellent songs, and exquisite costumes. Hate never seen Miss Wynn work to better advantage. 20 Min. MCCONNELL & SIMPSON. 25 min. F.S. In fast running comedy sketch, "The Right Girl". This sketch rather crude and played coarsely by Miss McConnell. Pleased 80% of the audience and bored the rest. Got fair hand at finish. Miss McConnell worked hard, and won clever with her quick changes, though her one costume was hardly in good taste. 25 Min. MR. AND MRS. JIMMY BARRY. 24 min. 2 sets of lines in one. In great act "The Rube". Mr. Barry does a remarkably clever piece of acting, ably assisted by Mrs. Barry. The audience enjoyed this act thoroughly and rewarded the performance with many laughs and applause. 24 Min. CLIFTON CRAWFORD. 18 min. in one. Mr. Crawford was received with a welcoming hand, and made a distinct hit with his character songs. "As seen at the Movies" was especially effective. Mr. Crawford tried to close his act here, but the audience demanded more, and gave him an ovation after reciting "Gungidin". 18 Min. AZARD BROTHERS. 10 min. F.S. These boys perform hazardous feats of strength and were enjoyed and appreciated, receiving a big hand at finish. 10 Min. KINEMACOLOR.2 3 min. "William Tell" - A beautiful scenic picture, presenting this story. The picture a good advertisement for the wonders of this invention, but not very exciting, and many people did not stay to see it.
