225 CHASE'S THEATRE. WASHINGTON, D. C. Week of March 22. ZAZALLE AND VERNON. A good bar comedy act done in pantomime. Full stage closing in one. Eckert and Berg. They presented Japanese operetta "Little Pee Weet". The singing and piano playing was very much enjoyed and act would be an improvement by omitting any attempt at comedy. Full stage. JOHN G. GILBERT. Just about as usual and while audience was not enthusiastic he was very well received. All in one. THE MOTO GIRL. This act created the most intense interest, contained the best novelty, some comedy and at its finish the people seemed to go wild as they were sure it was a figure until she revealed herself. This is the only person doing the mechanical figure work entitled to consideration. Full stage. INTERMISSION. LORIS AND ALTINA. A very sensational shooting act presented by man and woman. Fine looking people, well dressed and excited much interest. Full stage. MAUD HUTH. Sang songs and told stories in her jolly sort of way that caught on. All in one. THE BARROWS-LANCASTER COMPANY. They presented the "Jolly Jollier" and I guess they will never secure a worthy successor to "Tactics". This sketch is not particularly good, but Barrows himself is always a fine actor and would redeem and save most anything. Full stage. THE AMERICAN VITAGRAPH, presenting Egyptian scenes. H. Winnifred De Witt.
