Temple Theatre, Detroit, Mich. Week Beginning April 20th. Bryan & Nadine: Man and a woman who do a comedy acrobatic act. A very fair turn. 12 minutes full stage. Permane Brothers: European grotesques. One of the best turns in its particular class that has ever played this house. 7 minutes full stage and 4 minutes in I. Mr. & Mrs. Robyns: Presenting the playlet "The Counsel for the Defense." These performers are too well known to require either praise or criticism suffice it to say that they are painstaking artists of the first order who never fail to score big, 35 minutes full stage. York & Adams: Hebrew impersonators. They introduce material that would go better with a burlesque audience than in a first-class theater. By eliminating it they would improve their turn. 18 minutes in I. Lola Yberri: A pretty young woman who does a dancing turn that is nothing less than an artistic treat. She dances gracefully and he costumes are numerous and bewilderingly beautiful. She does her work in a miniature stage the scenery of which is very pretty. During the intermissions between her dances, while she is making her changes of costume, some artistic marine pictures are projected upon a screen. The act is one which will not elicit tumultuous applause, but it arouses the admiration of the critical and intelligent. It ought to be a splendid addition to any bill. 19 minutes full stage. R.J. Jose: Conta-tenor vocalist. Singers who are heraled as the "greatest" may come and go but none of them ever succeed in making a bigger hit with all classes than does this artist. Put him anywhere on the bill and he is always winner. 13 minutes in I. John L. Kearney & May Duryea: Presenting the sketch "The Impostor." During the action of the playlet the woman, by "mistake" becomes inebriated. It is bad enough to have a man portray drunkenness upon the stage but when a woman attempts it it is disgusting and ought to be discouraged. 25 minutes full stage. Tom Almond: Australian novelty dancer. He is all that he represents himself to be. He makes good, in fact more than that. 14 minutes in I. Paulinetti & Piquo: Comedy gymnasts: They are clever, finished and their costumes and stage trappings are AI. 10 minutes full stage.
