287 TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH. Week Beginning June 15th. John and Lillian Hoover: Comedy jugglers and dancers. A very good act that is deserving of a much better place on the bill. 10 minutes in three. Orpheus Comedy Four: Four men. Their singing is up to the average but their comedy is tiresome. On the whole it is a pleasing turn. 15 minutes in 1. James F. Kelly and Dorothy Kent: In songs, dances and travesty. One of the best comedy acts in vaudeville. 13 minutes in 3 and 3 minutes in one. The O'Brien Troupe: Composed of a man, three women and a boy. Notwithstanding that an unusual number of acrobatic acts have appeared in this theater the past season, the majority of them foreign, the O'Briens are easily the winners from every viewpoint. 8 minutes full stage. Ernest Hogan: Colored singer and character (negro subjects) impersonator. He has always been a favorite here and is making his usual hit this time. 18 minutes in 1. The Zarrow Trio: Fancy, trick and eccentric bicycle riders. They carry special scenery and introduce more stunts than any other performers in their line. They are going big. 12 minutes full stage. Aurie Dagwell: A pretty woman who has a sweet voice, dresses well and who knows how to "deliver the goods." She is hitting them hard. 10 minutes in 1. McMahan's Watermelon Girls: This is the second week for this splendid act and it is going big. Instead of the Mississippi river scene ( illuminated steamboat) employed last week, a drop showing a passenger train (illuminated) is used. It is a pretty picture and gets a big hand. The act is A1 and a winner in every respect. 12 minutes full stage. The American Biograph.
