301 NEW YORK SHOW, WEEK OF JULY 27, 1903. STEREOPTICON.--Usual selection of views.-- 7 Minutes in one. NR.--THE GREGSONS.--A young boy and girl in a singing and dancing act. The idea is about the same...... New York Show, Week of July 27th--2. YYH.--KENO, WELCH & MELROSE.--Three men in an acrobatic comedy act. The act has been cleaned up considerably since it was last here and the comedian of the trio has multified his work so that it is now very acceptable. They are doing the [dest?] and head balancing first introduced here by the Errette Troupe, in which they have made several improvements, and the act went very strong this afternoon. 15 minutes, full stage. GHR.--CHAS. M. ERNEST.--Black faced comedian and vocalist. Ernest is now, as he always was, a very good singer. He introduced three new songs this afternoon, closing with a parody on "Hiawatha," in which he was assisted verbally by the orchestra. He also did a lot of comedy talking which was good and it can be set down as a good act throughout. 15 minues in one. GHR.--HARRY LINTON AND THE LAWRENCE SISTERS.--Linton is of the original team of Linton & McIntyre, and the sketch he is presenting, so far as the lines are concerned, is largely reminiscent of the old act. They get away with it very nicely, however, and close with a triple song and dance act that is quite pretty. 15 minutes full stage. Could close in one if necessary. YRR.--CHAS. SMITH AND FRANK J. BRYAN.--These people had a pretty hard place on the bill following everybody, and for the first three or four minutes it did not seem as though they were going to reach their audience, but they picked up toward the end and went quite strong. They have several original parodies and they know how to sing them. 20 minutes in one. YRR.--PARROS BROS.--Two men in an acrobatic brother act, and I think they are about the best in their line that have come over from the other side. Their work is very clever and is clean cut from start to finish. A very good act. 13 minutes, full stage. HR--BIOGRAPH.--While there is not question but that the biograph machine pictures are very fine from a mechanical standpoint, the list of views that they sent us this afternoon is rather ordinary, among them being two or three which have been shown here before. This, however, will be remedied by tomorrow. 15 minutes in one. S. K. HODGDON.
