B.F. Keith's Hippodrome Week of Sept. 9, 1912 Cleveland, Ohio ARCHI ONRI & CO - - Novelty jugglers. 12 minutes in 4. Man and woman doing the usual juggling routine work. A good opening act. (Buffalo) BARTO & CLARK - - - Comedy skit "In Sixty Five". Man and woman, 6 minutes in 2, special drop. This act dances very well, but has about the most worthless line of talk and comedy seen here in sometime. (Chicago) CHADWICK TRIO - - - Man and two women, working 18 minutes C.D.F., in sketch "For Sale Wiggin's Farm". Opens weak and closes strong with dance. It would be only a very fair act in fast company, as it lacks realism and all other essentials for rural characterization. (Syracuse) MAXIM'S MODELS - - - 14 minutes, with 12 foot special frame. A posing act which is artistic, but which the audience will forget before the show is over. It is better however, than anything of its kind we have had. (Cincinnati) THE FOUR MUSICAL KINGS- - Male instrumental and vocal quartette, which includes a comedian who is anything but funny. There are a score of quartettes better than this one. The men lack personality, have bad selections in music, and the act is minus the punch of other quartettes we have had. (Columbus) JOSEPH HART'S "AN OPENING NIGHT" - - This act advises 25 people. So far we have found 16-10 men and six women. Act opens special set in 4, works into 2, with lowering of curtain, and back again into 4 with special equipment. 41 minutes, with two short waits. The Hippodrome audiences are still wondering what it is all about, appreciating at the same time that the act was a novelty. Two people work from the audience, and there are several good characteri-zations, but the act will never be recorded in theatrical history be-cause of its greatness. The scenic effects are good and rather out of the ordinary. (Cincinnati) STUART BARNES - - Monologist. 23 minutes in one. The hit of the show and will make good on any bill. (Indianapolis) THREE PARRELL SISTERS - - Novelty Ring Act 11 minutes in 4. Three well dressed women, assisted by a man, who display strength and cleverness on aerial rings. A good closing act. (Indianapolis)
