3 REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW, WEEK SEPT. 23, 1912 - W. W. PROSSER ALVIN & KINNEY: Conventional Flying Ring act. Two men, one straight, one comedian. Pretty fiar act of its kind. Nothing new. Fair finish. Garden in 5, -9 minutes. (Open) ED BARTO & FLORENCE CLARK: Man and woman in singing and talking skit. "In 65". Just fair. Didn't make much of an impression. Moderately good in spots. No finish. Special in 1, -15 minutes. (Akron & Youngstown) BUTLER HAVILAND & ALICE THORNTON: In "A Question of Policy". Well-known comedy skit which was received with decided favor. Went big throughout and finished strong. Special in 3, close in 1. -20 minutes. (Cincinnati) HANLON BROS. & CO: Four men in "Just-Phor-Phun", excerpts from "Superba" and "Fantasma". Made very good, proving quite a novelty. Finished strong. Special in 4, -16 minutes. (New York) JOSIE HEATHER: English comedienne. Sang several songs, all of which went well. A little slow in starting, but picked up and worked out a strong finish. Olio in 1, -19 minutes. (Open) HOMER LIND & CO: In "The Opera Singer". Three men, one woman. This act was the hit of the show, scoring heavily throughout and finishing strong. Excellent personal success for Mr. Lind. Bare stage in 1, plain chamber in 3. -30 minutes. (Cincinnati) HARRY B. LESTER: "The Jovial Jester", in songs and stories, some of the old quite a bit, new. A little slow in starting but worked up in good shape and finally rounded out a strong finish. Olio in 1, 19 minutes. (Indianapolis) MAXIM'S MODELS: Well-known posing number which made a thoroughly satisfactory closer. Won individual attention throughout and finished strong. Special in 5, -12 minutes. (Indianapolis) Pathe Weekly: O.K.
