GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURGH, PA. J. P. HARRIS. OCTOBER 7th, 1912. TUSCANO BROTHERS. "Europe's Thrilling Battle-ax Jugglers." 7 minutes. Garden. A very good opening act. It is a novelty and really thrilling. ADELAIDE FRANCIS. "The Phonograph Girl." 12 minutes. Olio. No. 2 omniscience's our bill and not doing well. She could not be classed as even an ordinary act. MR. & MRS. HUGH EMMETT. Ventriloquist. 16 minutes. Special. This is a very ordinary act. As it was presented Monday afternoon it was really too strong for a burlesque audience and we were forced to make at least ten cuts. The act could only be classed as fair. SIX AMERICAN DANCERS. 12 minutes. Special Drop in one. One of the ladies in this act was taken ill after Monday's afternoon performance and since then only five have appeared. This is a very good dancing act, well dressed and pleasing our audiences immensely. LES GOUGETS. 13 minutes. Interior. I understand that this is the first appearance of this act in the country. While it is a novelty, and the male member of the team does some very difficult playing on unusual instruments, still it is very crude and I could not recommend it for any later than No. 3 on the bill. They, of course, will improve with experience. SHERMAN, VAN & HYMAN. "The Piano Playing and Singing Trio." 13 minutes. Olio in One. These men are not great singers, but they have plenty of energy and make lots of noise. They are doing very well for us. VALERIE BERGERE & CO. Special. Full stage. 26 minutes. In "His Japanese Wife." Miss Bergere in this act is too well known to need any extensive criticism. She is about the same as usual. BERT FITZGIBBON. 20 minutes. Street in one. The same big hit that he has been every place he has played. THREE ALEX. Full stage. Garden. 9 min. Novelty aerial equilibrists. A very good act of its kind, but hardly fast enough for a closing act. MOVING PICTURES. PATHE'S REVIEW.
