35 Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of October 14, 1912. CHAS. LOVENBERG, Manager. As a whole the show plays quite well although some of the early acts are mediocre. GRENIER & LA FOSSE Talking comedy acrobatic act; two men. They do some fairly good acrobatic tricks but their comedy is rather painful and somewhat vulgar. 10 Min. in One. DEAN & PRICE Man and woman; a little comedy skit with singing and dancing. There are some quite funny lines in the playlet but the people are hardly equal to them; they are not bad; they hold down the spot fairly well; in the hands of more capable people the sketch would be a rattler. 16 min. Open F. S. Very short close in One. BERNIVICI BROS. Well-known musical act; went very well as a whole, but I believe most of the audience would be satisfied if certain violin players of this class would omit the eye rolling and other suggestive features in their playing. 15 Min. open and close in One. ROBBIE GORDONE Posing act; gave satisfaction although not a tumult. 9 Min. F. S. DEVINE & WILLIAMS Man and woman; comedy singing, dancing and talking; very good act; plenty of new stuff; clever people with good personalities; a hit. 15 Min. in One. MAXINI BROS. & BOBBY Acrobatic act with trained dog; well-known all along the line; went as big here as usually credited to them in other cities. 12 Min. F. S. JOE WELCH Hebrew impersonator; a lot of material that is new; some quite old, although he went very big all through. 25 Min. in One. "TRAINED NURSES" Lasky's best act; although Bergman was suffering from severe hoarseness the act got over in good shape; maybe credited as being a decided hit and should draw money. 33 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES Pathe Weekly - O. K.
