43 B.F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Week of October 14th Cleveland, Ohio THREE JOSETTYS -- Acrobats. 7 minutes in 2. Well dressed, high class act. One that can open any bill and get away. It went over big at both shows. (Indianapolis) BRITT WOOD -- Juvenile Entertainer. 10 minutes in one. A real novelty for a single. He tells stories, dances and plays a month harp. The audience refused to let him go, which made encores necessary. The boy is clever, and could work further down on a good program. (Louisville) EARL & CURTIS -- Sketch "The Girl and the Drummer". Office scene in two, then close in one. 16 minutes. A satisfactory act, drags a little here and there, and the man should forget his attempt to sing. (New York) HOMER LIND & CO -- Musical Playlet "The Opera Singer". Opens bare stage, then to 1, then to interior parlor. 30 minutes. One man works at the piano in orchestra, a girl with first violin also in orchestra, with a character man for 'props', and Lind. Same act and seemingly as much of a hit as ever. Lind's voice however is going backward and he uttered some bad noted Monday. The line of pathos and comedy however are well balanced, and the act went over big. (Youngstown) THURBER & MADISON -- Comedy skit "On a Shopping Tour". Man and woman. 16 minutes in 1. A good act, all comedy, with Madison doing some unusual dance steps. (Cincinnati) GUS EDWARDS' CABARET KIDS -- Special set. 37 minutes F.S. Fifteen or eighteen juveniles, doing the regulation Edwards stuff. The act went over big at both shows. Good catchy music, plenty of action and a host of pretty girls. A very satisfactory act. (Harrisburg) SIX AMERICAN DANCERS -- Plush drop in 2. The same big hit in the dancing line, working 15 minutes and holding the spot in fine shape. Some of its dash however was taken away by the fact that there was a quantity of dancing in the preceding act. This could not be avoided as the arrangement of the program in this manner was necessary. (Columbus) MAX'S INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS -- 15 minutes. f.s. Man and woman, and three supers. Here's the scream of the show. It's full of laughs and is the best closing act as far as comedy goes we have had this season. (Columbus)
