Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of October 21, 1912. CHAS. LOVENBERG, Manager. The show is not very satisfactory this week, only about half of it getting over and none of it really very strong. The first half of the show is quite mediocre. LORETTE & "BUD" This is an act somewhat on the style, in fact copied from Mme. Chester & Dog, but not nearly so good; lacks class. 12 Min. F. S. BROWN & BLYLER Two young men, singer and piano player; didn't get over very well; in fact, fell down lamentably. 10 Min. in One. LANCTON-LUCIER & CO. I will have to take off my hat to Max Hart. Any man that can book this act at the salary they get deserves a lot of credit. 19 Min. open F. S. close in One. McCormick & WALLACE Ventriloquial novelty, which they call "The Theatrical Agent." The man is a fair ventriloquist and has some good comedy with his dummy, but the woman is decidedly excess; act is only fit for a very early spot at best in the big time. 17 Min. open in three, close in One. "SPIRIT PAINTINGS" This is a very interesting novelty and in a good fast comedy show would be all right, as it is it suffers from the preceding acts, without life enough to hold its own. I question its money drawing powers. 17 Min. F. S. Paul MORTON & Naomi GLASS In their novelty singing, talking and dancing act in one, with special scenery, representing a bungalow. This is a very classy act, which went over in excellent shape. An act that all the houses can afford to play and depend upon to make good. 16 Min. in One. BERT MELROSE The same big hit as last season. 15 Min. F. S. HENRY CLIVE Burlesque magician; while Mr. Clive got over very well, I was somewhat disappointed in his lack of new material; in fact, everything he did, he has done here before on two engagements. A number of reports along the line have said that he has new material; if he has, we didn't get it, 14 Min. in One. 3 SHELVY BOYS A very fast a very clever acrobatic contortion act; held this spot very satisfactorily. 7 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES Pathe Weekly - O.K.
