BOSTON SHOW - B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - WEEK OCT. 21, '12. (R. G. Larsen.) MR and MRS STUART DARROW. 13 minutes f.s. Palace. Sand pictures and shadowgraphists. This wellknown act opened the show in very good shape. LYDELL and BUTTERFIELD. 11 minutes in one. Garden. Man and woman, working blackface. Open with some talk, introducing some good eccentric dancing. A neat little act that filled this spot most acceptably. RICHARD WALLEY. 14 minutes f.s. Palace. One of the cleverest and most finished European jugglers we have ever played. A big hit at both performances to-day. "RUBE" DICKINSON. 17 minutes in one. Street. Dickinson has some new material this trip. Duplicated the hit he scored on his last visit, with laughs all through and a strong finish. MRS. LANGTRY. 21 minutes f.s. Special set. "Helping The Cause." It may be that our audiences are not "up" to the modern English Suffragette character, but they failed to grasp the humor of the situations at both performances to-day. Mrs. Langtry received a reception on her entrance and closed well. CHARLES and FANNIE VAN. 19 minutes in one. Olio. Playing the new act, "From Stage Carpenter to Ackter." Van seems to have quite as good a laughing vehicle in this new skit as in "A Case of Emergency." Got many laughs and closed well. 3 MORI BROTHERS. 12 minutes f.s. Cut Garden. Japanese wire artists and barrel jugglers. One of the best acts of the kind we have ever played. The comedy element is exceptionally strong, and the audiences to-day fairly screamed at the foot-juggling and barrel stunts of the Japs. Closed very big. PAT ROONEY and MARION BENT. 16 minutes in 1-1/2. Special drop. About the same act as when last here, and going as big as ever. TAYLOR GRANVILLE'S "THE HOLD-UP." 18 minutes f.s. Special set. This spectacular Western melodrama, with its sensational train effects, held the audience in their seats to the very finish. Made a great closer for a strong comedy show.
