51 CHASE'S THEATRE WASHINGTON, D.C. Week Oct. 21st., 1912. STEINER TRIO A comedy bar act with some very good work. Three men, one straight, one clown and one German make-up. Opened the show in good shape. F.S. CLARA INGE A pretty little woman with some songs and a "kid" recitation that will make an appeal to the children. (1) LAURA GUERITE AND ARTHUR CONRAD Songs and dances. They started rather slowly, but finished big. Mr. Conrad is an able assistant for Miss Guerite and his eccentric dancing got a big hand. F.S. closing in one. HAL STEPHENS "Famous Characters in Famous Scenes". Mr. Stephens is giving us this year "Shylock", "Mr. Pickwick", "Rip Van Winkle" and "Judas" All are well done. He carries a lot of scenery, which helps the act a lot and there is a company of four supporting him. F.S. INTERMISSION SULLY AND RUSSEY "The Sportsman and the Valet". We were more than satisfied with the work of these two boys in this position this afternoon. The audience compelled them to do all they knew and then wanted more. (1) ARTHUR DEAGON Mr. Deagon is doing pretty much the same sort of act that he gave us last year with the exception of the omission of his dialogue. He went well this afternoon and held this difficult position, following the hit of the preceding act, in good shape. (1) POUCHOT'S FLYING BALLET There is nothing new in this act from what has been given us along this line in past years. It closed the show all right, but the element of novelty, something our people expected, was lacking. F.S. THE ANIMATED WEEKLY Recent Events of International Interest. A fair reel this week.
