90 CHASE'S WASHINGTON D.C. Week Nov. 18th., 1912. OLLIE YOUNG AND APRIL Man and woman in a novel diabolo spinning and bubble juggling act. Held the attention of the audience and made a very nice opener for us. F.S. DU CALION Englishman on the unsupported ladder. His work is clever and his continuous patter makes the act a good and lively one for this position. In two. J. C. NUGENT and Co. "The Regular". This is a typical Nugent-esque sketch. There are many very clever lines delivered in Mr. Nugent's own original and delightful manner. He is ably supported by Miss Jule York. (1) (F.S.) INTERMISSION ROBBIE GORDONE Classic Reproductions of Famous Statues. This is a very artistic act. The selection of subjects is good and the changes from one pose to another are made with lightning rapidity. (3) STUART BARNES Mr. Barnes is popular here and was very well received. The only criticism we have is that too much of his material is old. He should try to get away from the type he has been portraying for a number of years and do something along another line. Perfectly satisfactory in this position, however. In one. BELASCO'S "DRUMS OF OUDE" This is a very pretentious offering and is sure to cause no end of talk here in Washington. It decidedly has the touch of the master hand of Mr. Belasco all the way through. The company is able, the scenic investiture splendid, the plot thrilling and the whole promotion a great success. We have no criticism to offer. We recommend the act without any qualifications. F.S. ANIMATED WEEKLY Good film.
