110 REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW WEEK DEC. 2ND.-1912. W. W. PROSSER. ELIZABETH OTTO: "The Girl At The Piano"--Songs and Instrumental Numbers. A pretty hard spot for an act of this kind but she did quite well gaining and holding attention, winning some applause after each number and finishing moderately strong. O.K. Olio in 1, 10 minutes. (Open) WINSLOW & STRYKER: Man and woman in skating number. Very good. Straight work with a dash of comedy. Singing acct. by woman adds life, all of the work of interest, making good throughout and finishing strong. Conservatory in 3, 10 minutes. (CLEVELAND.) McKAY & CANTWELL: "Two Jolly Fellows". A 1 performers who deliver excellent line of songs, dances, and talk. The Monday mat. bunch failed to take to them for a time but finally realized that they were "regular" artists and then things livened up and they finished big. Thoroughly satisfactory. 16 minutes Special in 1. (TOLEDO.) WILLIS FAMILY: Musical act, two men, two women. A Refined genteel number that held undivided attention from first to last. Finished strong. Palace in 5, 17 minutes. (PITTSBURGH.) BRITT WOOD: "The Juvenile Entertainer" The biggest kind of a hit, singing, talk, dancing and harmonica playing. Unique in every respect. "Floored 'em" and ran things to suit himself. Best single number here for a long time. Street in 1, 13 minutes. (NASHVILLE.) WILLIARD SIMMS: "Flinder's Furnished Flat". One long scream. Strong Finish. Got enough laughs for an entire show. Dark Fancy in 3, Close in 1, 26 minutes. (TOLEDO) EDDIE LEONARD & MABEL RUSSELL: Somewhat hard following Simms, but finally got them and then had easy sailing. Perfectly satisfactory closing strong. Olio in 1, 22 minutes. (SYRACUSE.) MAXINE BROS & BOBBY: Two men and dog. Fine equilibristic number. Held all but a few until the finish. Classy and all in all an act decidedly worth while. Finished strong. Garden in 5, 11 minutes. (OPEN.) PATHE WEEKLY O. K. NOTE: An ideal show and the best we have had for several weeks. Ought to do business.
