134 Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of December 23, 1912. CHAS. LOVENBERG, Manager. The show played fairly well. I think on the whole it is a good holiday bill without any one particularly strong feature. SWAN & BAMBARD An old time comedy singing and dancing acrobatic act, which served to open the show, but hardly up to present day vaudeville. 13 Min. F. S. WARREN & CONELY An attractive young man and woman in a neat singing, dancing and piano sketch. They have some good songs and put them over well. 13 Min. in One. "LOVE IN THE SUBURBS" Comedy sketch, played by Hale Norcross & Co. two men and one woman; has some good lines and funny situations and is fairly well played. 21 Min. F. S. SIX AMERICAN DANCERS This act is handicapped by the illness of one of the young ladies, but managed to get over in good shape, nevertheless. 13 Min. in One. KLUTING'S ANIMALS One of the best feature of its kind that we have. 13 Min. F. S. BELLE STORY This young lady lived up to all that has been said of her in other cities; has a beautiful voice and a charming personality. 13 Min. in One. BARTHOLOMAE'S PLAYERS In "And They Lived Happy Ever After." This was a great disappointment, the only act on the bill that really fell down and it did with a thud. I am in perfect accord with the audience's opinion of it - that it is very bad: for about 3 minutes it is funny, then as one known in advance just what is coming, the fun grows less and less until at the finish the curtain goes down with hardly a snicker. It is barely possibly that the No. 1 company did it better than this organization. The fact remains, as a headline feature it is a dismal failure. 12 Min. F. S. MACK & ORTH Well-known two men comedy singing and talking act, which made the unqualified hit of the show. 24 Min. in One. FIVE PIRSCOFFIS This is a lively act in which they throw a lot of stuff around the stage to each other, but there isn't a great deal of juggling ability, excepting by one of the men, and he is particularly good, in fact if he is not getting half the salary of the act, he is being imposed upon. 10 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
