175 GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURGH, PA. JOHN P. HARRIS. JANUARY 13th, 1913. WINSTON'S SEALS Special set. 7 minutes. Does very well for opening the show. As good as any of the acts of this kind. (OPEN) THE GEE JAYS. Full stage. 9 minutes. "The Living Marionettes." A very ordinary act. Cannot recommend them. (OPEN) ELSA REUGGER Olio. 15 minutes. "World's Greatest Woman Violincellist, accompanied by EDMUND LICHENSTEIN." This woman is a big hit. We have never played any one who was near so good as she. (WASHINGTON) RAWLS and VON KAUFMAN Full stage. 20 minutes. Interior, closing in one. This man is a very funny comedian. The woman is not good,- just about gets by. The act went well for us- plenty of laughs, but I would not recommend it too far down on the bill. (PROVIDENCE) CHARLES LEDEGAR Garden. Full Stage. 10 minutes. Comedy bounding rope performer. This is an exceptionally good opening act. Would be much better if he would cut out some of the talking. (PHILADELPHIA) CONNOLLY and WENRICH Olio. 24 minutes. Miss Connolly dresses the act very fine. Mr. Wenrich at the piano, playing the choruses of a number of his own compositions, is a big hit. Their last song introducing the third member of the act, is a big hit, and they have taken a number of encores. I consider it a very good act. (CHICAGO) FLORENCE ROBERTS and Co. Interior. 20 minutes. "The Woman Intervenes." One of the best sketches we have ever played and the work of Miss Roberts is really better than any legitimate star we have played. However, she is not known here and I am sure that she did not help our business any. (CLEVELAND) JACK HAZZARD Olio. 18 minutes. Monologue. this is Mr. Hazzard's first appearance with us in several years. He is a real hit. Going big at every performance. (CINCINNATI) KITTY TRANEY. Full Stage. Garden. 12 minutes. In a European Sporting act. Miss Traney does a little juggling, also introduces a pony, cart and two dogs. It is a very attractive act and gets considerable applause. However, it is just a little slow for closing. (BROOKLYN) KINEMACOLOR. Showing the Dieppe Grande Prix Motor Races, Australian Beauties, Carnival at Nice 1912.
