179 B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE - BOSTON - WEEK JANUARY 20, 1913. (R. G. Larsen.) 3 GLADDENBECKS. 6 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Started the show off in good shape. LEW WELLS. 15 minutes in one. Street. This oldtime muiscal comedian has quite a good line of talk and some good selections on the saxaphone. Filled this spot most acceptably. CARTMELL and HARRIS. 11 minutes f.s. Palace. Same big hit as always in this house. MARIE FENTON. 14 minutes in one. O.P. drop. Miss Fenton has improved considerably since her first visit here. Got over in very good shape at both shows to-day. EVA TAYLOR & CO. 19 minutes in 2. C.D.F. "After The Wedding." A very funny farce comedy, which had the audience laughing every minute. KELLY and POLLOCK. 20 minutes in one. Special drop. This is the old Kelly and Kent act, with a new woman in place of Annie Kent. Going very well in this position. CECILIA LOFTUS. 30 minutes f.s. C.D.F. Close special draperies. Miss Loftus did seven numbers, Nora Bayes, Elsie Janis, Bert Williams, Carrie DeMarr, Rose Stahl, Jane Cowl, and Maud Allan. All her number were applauded, and she closed strong. DAN QUINLAN and "VIC" RICHARDS. 17 minutes in one. Special drop. They have added quite a little new material since when last here two years ago, and got as many laughs as ever. MAY WIRTH and GREAT WIRTH FAMILY. 10 minutes f.s. Circus cyclorama. The greatest equestrian feature we have ever played, with some wonderful bareback riding by May Wirth. Closed the show with a hurrah. CUTS: Emma Pollock has been requested to place a filler in the front of her low-cut dress. Eva Taylor & Co - "souse" - "I hope you will be as good as my first husband" - and dialogue commencing "Is this a regular hotel?" [Scenic Temple letterhead] Report on acts playing The Scenic Temple, Week of January 20, 1913. Charlie Farrell. One. Blackface singing and dancing also whistling which is very good Went good. 10 minutes. The Pelots. The act is a novelty juggling act, and uses a special drop. Some comedy. Went good. 15 minutes. Full stage. Lucier and Evans. One. Singing talking and dancing. Man and woman. 14 minutes. Good. The Graham Moffatt Players. Full stage. Very good sketch called "The Concealed Bed" A very good cast of actors. Went big. 20 minutes. Show on the whole.----Good.
