188 Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of January 27, 1913. CHAS. LOVENBERG, Manager. We have this week a good bright show with plenty of comedy and snap, that should follow up for us the good business for the past week or two. ERNIE & ERNIE "The One-Legged Man and the Soubrette." The man is a good dancer, does a little acrobatic work; the woman is clever; altogether it makes a very good opening act. 13 Min. Open in One, close F. S. FISCHER & GIBSON Two men, singing and piano act, usual hackneyed style of act that we are getting a little bit too much of, and these men are not particularly good at it. Beside this, a lot of their material is not fit for a refined audience and by the time we get it chopped out, I am afraid there wont be much of an act left. 15 Min. in One. After cleaning up at night, the act went much better. LITTLE LORD ROBERTS This act is too well known for comment; it is a good novelty to play once. 18 Min. Open F. S. Close in One. "THE CONCEALED BED" Another good novelty, a little talky in spots, but as a whole it gave good satisfaction. 26 Min. F. S. THURBER & MADISON These people cleaned up as they usually do in this house, making a most decided hit. 16 Min. in One. BIRD MILLMAN First time here for Miss Millman since she was a little girl; unquestionably the best wire act we ever had. 10 Min. F. S. RAWLS & VON KAUFMAN I was a little scary about these people down in this spot after a lively show, but they held it more than creditably; in fact, scored as big a hit as they did on their previous visit. I am having them do their act in one, instead of opening in three; they insist that they must have a center door to come through, fortunately we had a drop that had a center door in it, which we used in one. There is no need of a center door for these people, but they think he must come in through one. Being entirely in one, it is a most valuable act; a good bargain at the money. 27 Min. in One and the audience laughing every minute. S. MILLER KENT & CO. Dramatic sketch - "The Wrong Mr. Q." A very hard place for this act, but he held it in good shape, none of the audience leaving. 20 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
