196 GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURGH, PA. JOHN P. HARRIS. JANUARY 27th, 1913. KLINDT BROS. Comedy acrobats. 8 minutes. Full stage. Garden. A very ordinary acrobatic act that I was forced to put in on account of the non-appearance of the Doric Comiques, who did not show up on Monday and we have never heard from them up to this time. The Klindt Bros. is a good act to keep away from. (OPEN) GEORGETTE. Olio. 15 minutes. Juvenile Comedian. This girl does very well for number two on our bill. Her selections are not the best and her stories are only ordinary (OPEN) DARRELL & CONWAY. Full stage, closing in one. 19 minutes. In their novel comedy, "Behind the scenes." This act is doing fine. The comedy is good and the singing especially good. They make a number of quick changes and finish very strong. I consider the act very good value. (OPEN) THREE WONDERFUL SINGERS. Olio. 12 minutes. Three men, Wm. C. Weeden, Robert Bernard and Harry Barrows, dressing in evening clothes, fine appearance, great voices and good selections. They are a big hit. (OPEN) MUSICAL GORMANS. Palace. 13 minutes. While there is nothing startling in this act, still I consider it very fair. We have them on No. 5 and they are going well. (DETROIT) VAN HOVEN. Olio. 15 minutes. "The Dippy Mad Magician." This man is a big hit. He does very little in the way of magic. The two boy plants he brings from the audience at the finish of his act is one long laugh lasting about 5 minutes. (SYRACUSE) THE TRAINED NURSES, with CLARK & BERGMAN. Special. 33 minutes. One of Lasky'as best acts. Fine costumes, good voices, clever performers. Clark and Bergman work very hard and get good results. (CINCINNATI) McKAY & CANTWELL. Special in One. 15 minutes. Singing and talking act. Just as big a hit as ever. (HAMILTON) GERE & DELANEY. Full stage. Special. 8 minutes. I was forced to close the show with this act on account of disappointment. While they are not a closing act, still they are getting by very nicely. I consider them a very good opening act. (OPEN) KINEMACOLOR. BEE CULTURE, ICE SKATING.
