217 REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW WEEK. FEB. 10, 1913--W.W. PROSSER. (FESTIVAL WEEK) CHARLES LEDEGAR: Comedy bounding rope artist. A "Dutch" comedian who does very well with a combination of comedy rope and accompanying talk. Made a very satisfactory opener. Finished strong. Terrace in 4, 10 min. (Akron and Youngstown) SHRINER & RICHARDS: Man and woman in a flirtation number. Man doing "straight" and woman comedy. proved very acceptable, holding interest throughout and finishing strong. Olio in 1, 14 minutes. (Harrisburg, Pa.) FLANAGAN & EDWARDS: Two men in "Off and On", a delineation of stage life from two angles. This is the best act these boys have ever shown here. It opens with a scream and proves capital entertainment throughout, finishing strong. Kitchen in 3, Special in 1, olio in 1, 18 min. (Cleveland) LAMB'S MANIKINS: Same excellent act as before. Close attention throughout and strong finish. Special in 1 1/2. 14 minutes. (Cleveland) ROMANO & BRIGLIO: Two men introducing harp and violin work. Very good of its kind, finding quite a bit of favor. Moderately strong finish. (Open) PAUL CONCHAS: The biggest kind of hit. For genuine amusement and comedy, it would be hard to beat this offering. Very strong finish. Palace in 5, 26 min (Cleveland) SPENCER & WILLIAMS: Man and woman in another flirtation number. Proved well worth while, doing fine throughout and finishing strong. Olio in 1, 16 min. (Toledo) PROVIDENCE PLAYERS: Four men and two women in "Who Is Brown?" Apparently a condensed version of "Temple's Telegram". A corking good legitimate comedy playlet presented capably by people of ability who are well adapted to the various roles. The act found great favor and was a genuine laughing hit. Finished strong. C.D.F. in 4, 30 min. (Syracuse) PAUL MORTON & NAOMI GLASS: Wellknown couple presenting singing, talking and dancing number, "My Lady of the Bungalow". Very favorably received with strong finish. Special in 1, 17 min. (Philadelphia) THE FLYING RUSSELLS: Two men in trapeze offering, doing moderately well as a closer. Garden in 5, 4 minutes. (Toledo) NOTE:-- Linden Beckwith who was to have been on the bill was unable to appear owing to a severe attack of grip. She is confined to her hotel under a physician's care, and if she improves sufficiently, I will put her on at the mid-week. If not, we have plenty of show, and can well afford to let her lay off. Through the loss of the baggage of Paul Conchas and Lamb's Manikins we were considerably at sea, Monday afternoon, but managed to give the show with the exception of Beckwith and Lamb's Manikins.
