250 GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURGH, PA. JOHN P. HARRIS. FEBRUARY 10th, 1913. BRADSHAW BROS. Full stage. Garden. 8 minutes. Comic Flexible Athletes. A very good comedy contortion act. Owing to the arrangement of our bill we were forced to put them on to open the show. I think they are good enough for any place on the bill. COOK & STEVENS. Olio. 12 minutes. "The Chinaman and the Coon." Two men in a talking and singing act. Would not care to recommend them for any later than No. 2 on the bill. They did very well in this place. BURR & HOPE. Special set. 13 minutes. Presenting "A Lady, a Lover and a Lamp." An Unique Vocal Novelty. While not a big hit, it is a very neat number and seemed to please. THREE HICKEY BROS. Special Drop in Two. 13 minutes. Unique Acrobatic Dancers and Chatterers. I class this only as a fair act. Would not care to place them any later than No. 4 on the bill. CECELIA LOFTUS. Open full stage. Interior, closing full stage. Special. 25 minutes. During our time in vaudeville we have many acts that have been overpaid and which did not make good, but without any doubt Miss Cecelia Loftus has been the biggest failure we have ever played. Her imitations were very much unlike the originals. If she had been any one else but Cecelia Loftus I am sure that we would have closed her. I really cannot account for her bad performances with us. She seemed to be trying hard and apparently in the best of health. FARBER GIRLS. Olio. 13 minutes. Two young ladies who dressed well, sang well and one of the ladies is a real comedienne. The act was a big hit. MILTON POLLOCK & CO. Interior. 19 min. Comedy sketch, "Speaking to Father," by George Ade. A clever act played by very clever people. A big hit. LYONS & YOSCO. Olio in One. 16 minutes. "The Harpist and the Singer." These two men were a real hit at every performance, taking many real encores and bows. HOWARDS PONIES. Special, full stage. 16 minutes. In my opinion the best act of the kind in show business. A big hit, closing the show. KINEMACOLOR. "Other people's children."
