Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of December 25, 1911. Chas. Lovenberg, Manager. I can only call this bill fairly good. There is nothing particular striking in any part of it and some of the acts are a little bit weak. SAMSONE & DELILAH Well- known regulation balancing act that sufficed to open the show. 8 Min. F. S. PHINA & PICKS This act by no means lived up to representations and is not worthy of being played in houses of our calibre to my mind. 16 Min. in one JACOB'S DOGS Mr. Jacobs offers nothing new in acts of this kind, excepting the talking dog, which is a little disapointing after advertising. The act created no enthusiasm whatever altho in a most favorable spot on the the bill. 10 Min. F.S. RONAIR & WARK Man and woman in a light comedy talking and singing act. Some very bright stuff, very well rendered and an agreeable suprise. One of the best acts in the bill. 14 Min. F. S. WILFRED CLARKE & CO. In a sketch new to this theatre called "The Dear Departed;" a lively act of the kind offered by Mr. Clarke. Got plenty of laughs and is satisfactory in a general waay, though hardly a headliner. 15 Min. F. S. CARLIN & PENN In something new in the way of Dutch comedy. One of the most satisfactory acts in the bill. Went very well indeed. 15 Min. in One. YE COLONIAL SEPTETTE While the producers have given all that is required in the way of scenery, costumes, etc., and the idea of it is very beautiful, they have failed to put in as capable performers as the act formerly contained. There is only oon person of real merit in the act; that is the cornetist. The others are inadequate, with the consequence that the act by no means made the success that it did on its last appearance here. 23 Min. F. S. THE BISON CITY QUARTETTE A great rough comedy act which pleased immensely. 15 Min. in One. JOS. DE KOE TROUPOE An act similar to that of Willie Pantzer, although it seems to contain more variety. A splendid act in every particular. Should really be the headliner of the bill. 11 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O.K.
