CRITICISM. FIFTH AVENUE THEATRE, NEW YORK CITY. WEEK OF JANUARY 29th, 1912 NOTE - "All Women Headliners" An idea which seems to draw, especially the lower house and the men. The voting contest introduced for the "Most popular Actress" keeps up the interest. The show is too well known for any detailed criticism. KAUFFMAN SISTERS: Two young ladies in a singing and dancing novelty. Fairly good act. 7 minutes, full stage. MELODY LANE GIRLS: Four young ladies with pleasing personality and good voices. 11 minutes in 1. CATHERINE HAYES & SABEL JOHNSON: In "A Dream of Baby Days". Seems to go just as well as ever. 23 minutes, finish with sheet in one. KAUFMAN TROUPE OF LADY CYCLISTS: An excellent cycle act, great flash. Full stage 9 minutes. HILDA HAWTHORNE: Ventriloquist. Very good. 14 minutes in 1. ROWENA STEWART & GLADYS ALEXANDRIA: In "Broadway Love" a sketch of stage life. Mighty good dramatic skit; with a few laughs and a good moral. 17 minutes, full stage. MISS GRACE HAZARD: "Five Feet of Comic Opera", good. 19 minutes in 1. FADETTE LADY ORCHESTRA: Good. 28 minutes, full stage. MISS LYDIA BARRY: In a series of "Song Studies", consisting of "Barry", "The Best man", "Toodle Dum", "Twenty Years Ago", "Forge Ahead, Young Man", and "Original Bits". Very good. 22 minutes in 1. NETTIE CARROLL TRIO: Spectacular wire act. Fairly good closing act. Full stage, 10 minutes.
