Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of Feb. 5, 1912. CHAS. LOVENBERG, Manager. The show didn't go very well this afternoon. The acts with a couple of exceptions, fell pretty flat; the weakness being apparent in some of the acts that we depended the most upon. REM-BRANDT Novelty cartoonist; something different in the way of acts of that kind. It served first rate to open the show; in fact it got a great deal more applause than some of the more important acts. 8 Min. in One. O'MEERS SISTERS Wire walkers. These girls don't seem to have kept up with the procession. The act is rather slow. 11 Min. F. S. CARL McCULLOUGH The running of the show, in order to give preference of place to some of the strong acts, and also because of the fact that this young man didn't do as well as I expected, necessitated moving him up to this position. Not nearly the success that has been credited to him in other cities. 19 Min. in One. HIGH LIFE IN JAIL This act maybe all right for New York and some other places, but it is an absolute frost here today. 23 Min. F. S. FAY, 2 COLEYS & FAY One of the few acts of the bill that did well, repeating their former success. 14 Min. in One. WILL ROGERS Mr. rogers did very well; for that reason moved down to this spot, altho I would have preferred to have a new act in this position. 14 Min. Open F. S. Close In One. CARTWELL & HARRIS This act also failed to get over with the strength that has been claimed for them in other cities. Am in hopes they will do better tonight. This afternoon they did fairly well. 12 Min. F. S. WESTON, FIELDS & CARROLL These boys were the hit of the show, but it is too bad that they can't be made to do a little longer act. 11 minutes is pretty short for an act of this kind, especially with the audience demanding more. 11 Min. in One. CLARENCE WILBUR & CO. A very hard position for an act of this kind. I scored very well indeed, but by no means a riot. 20 Min. F.S. Can close in One. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
