Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of Feb. 12, 1912. CHAS. LOVENBERG, Manager. The bill this week played very well and altho it is a marked improvement over last week's show, it is not quite as strong as some of the preceeding ones we have had. JOHN GEIGER Trick violinist. Mr. Geiger did very well indeed; in fact I believe he would have done better had he been a little lower on the program. Got plenty of laughs and applause. 12 Min. in One. THE ROBERTY TRIO Sensational dancers, toe dancing, acrobatic, etc. Some of the work done by these people is most remarkable. All of it is especially good, still for some reason or another it doesn't seem that these acts go very strongly with the audiences. They didn't get nearly as much applause as it seemed to me they deserved and I find that condition prevails almost everywhere with acts of this nature. 10 Min. F. S. MAJESTIC TRIO Three men that play banjos, mandolins, and guitars and do some Rathskeller singing. I would call this a fair act. 12 Min. in One. ARTHUR DEAGON Mr. Deagon surprised me very much indeed. He has a very good act and one which the audience liked immensely. He held the stage for 20 Min. and they wanted more. In One. MME. BESSON & CO. This act is pretty slow and devolves into a dialogue by the man and woman with hardly any action. The audience grew rather restless until the climax with its surprise, got them a good hand. The act is well played but it is too talky. At the same time I can't just see where the price comes in by considerable money. 23 Min. F.S. MACK & WALKER In their new act which they have been playing around this season and which held this spot with satisfaction. 18 Min. in One. TOM WISE & CO. In a comedy sketch entitled "A Chip of the Old Block." A very good little play, very well done. The principal support in the company holds up his end with Mr. Wise and comes pretty near being the star of the piece. As Mr. Wise was a former member of our stock company, naturally we expect him to draw us considerable business. 23 Min. F. S. WILLIE WESTON Comic singer, assisted by a pianist. Some new songs and some old ones. Did very well indeed. 16 Min. in One. VITTORIO & GEORGETTY "The Upsidedown Boys." Hardly as strong an act as we should have in this position but they managed to get by all right. 11 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O. K.
