TRENT THEATRE CRITICISM, WEEK OF MARCH 4, 1912 CLAUDE FREDERICK & DON An act that has played the entire circuit out first appearance here. Makes a very nice opening act. VAN & CARRIE AVERY Opens in "one" goes to full stage and closes with a picture sheet. Quite a novelty and Van is certainly a clever blackface artist. Miss Avery is also very clever. Could not get an act for the money to fill this position any better. GERTRUDE BARNES Heavily advertised as an extra attraction. Sang four songs and wears four very handsome gowns. Was not by any means a riot. A beautiful girl and wears her clothes well. "SQUARING ACCOUNTS" A new sketch by Harrison Armstrong. Is one of the cleverest two people sketches we have presented in this house in an age. An act that could go on any part of the bill. The young lady playing the part of the newsboy is exceptionally clever. PRIMROSE FOUR This quartette is too well known for any criticism. INTERMISSION YE COLONIAL SEPTETTE The same as presented here before and just as big a hit. KATE ELINORE & SAM WILLIAMS Without a doubt the biggest hit that has been in this theatre, as far as comedy is concerned, in some time. The audience refused to allow Miss Elinore to leave the stage. STRENGTH BROTHERS One of the best acts for the money that could be had to close this show. In all, this show played good from start to finish and should be a big winner this week.
