TRENT THEATRE CRITICISM, WEEK OF MARCH 11, 1912 By M. Moses. EDGAR BERGER Single man equilibrist. One of the best acts of its kind for the money we have ever had in the theatre. BROWN & MOULTON Man and woman. Piano playing and singing. The man is exceptionally strong and a very clever pianist. The woman just gets by with two songs. DARRELL & CONWAY An act which I got from Mr. Hennessy of the Family Department, called "Behind the Scenes." Opens up showing the bare walls of the stage, making their entrance from the street. Very cleverly done and an act which could go on any bill in any spot and get by. The woman of the act, Miss Darrell, is exceptionally clever and wears very stunning costumes. THE THREE VAGRANTS Just as good as ever but were unable to hold this spot, being just before intermission, therefore had to change them on the night show to # 6. INTERMISSION HOUDINI Return engagement inside of two weeks. His reception today just as large if not larger than his first appearance and the indications from the advance sale that the week will be a great deal larger than his first appearance. HOWARD & HOWARD An act too well known for me to criticism. It is, without doubt, one of the laughing hits of the season. The audience refused to allow them to leave the stage. FOUR LADELLE COMIQUES An act also received from the Family Department which closed the show in good shape. The beauty of this act is the fast manner in which they handle their stuff, which is all very clever. Note: As a whole this is a corking good show and I look for big results.
