REPORT Scenic Theatre Pawtucket R. I. 3 days, Thurs, Fri. and Saturday March 14--15--16 David R. Buffinton ELLIOTT & WEST Two men, singing, talking and dancing. Clown make up with red suits, changing to black suits for eccentric dancing finish. Talking did not amount to much, dancing went good. 10 minutes in one went off with a good hand MURPHY, WHITMAN & CO. Two men and a woman, comedy The Prodigal Girl, very ordinary, 15 minutes C. D F. Country politics, a little dramatic action, just got a little applause at finish. INEZ Violinist, classical and popular selections, full of ginger, nicely dressed, pleasing appearance, 10 minutes in one, went very well HICKEY'S COMEDY CIRCUS All week, the big laugh, going big at each performance. REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW WEEK MARCH 18, 1912---W.W. PROSSER. DELMORE & ONEIDA: Man and woman in perch act. Made a very good opener, holding attention throughout and finishing fairly strong. Conservatory in two, 10 min. (Open) VIRGINIA GRANT: In a straight singing number which just about got by. She made a good appearance but did not seem able to deliver her songs very successfully. No finish to speak of. Olio in one, 8 minutes. (Dayton) GARDNER & STODDARD: Offering "Vaudeville Frivolities". this well-known team got along first rate. Their several nonsensial stunts getting by in good shape. Good finish. C.D.F. in three, close in one, 19 minutes. (Dayton) REDFORD & WINCHESTER: Jugglers who did very well, holding attention throughout, winning applause and laughs and finishing well. Special in four, 18 min. (Brooklyn) JONES & GRANT: This team pleased well with songs and talk, but was not a distinct hit, generally. Moderately strong finish. Street in one, 20 minutes. (Cincinnati) MABELLE ADAMS & CO: Two women and two men in dramatic sketch, "Zila", a vehicle evidently adapted to permit Miss Adams to play the fiddle. Held attention throughout and generally pleased, although the acting of Miss Adams does not ring especially true. All in all only a fair offering. Moderately strong finish. Special in one and three, 24 minutes. (Open) LEE WHITE AND GEORGE PERRY: Man and woman in an excellent singing and talking number. The hit of the show up to this point, and really the first act that gained spontaneous recognition. Went big throughout and finished strong. Olio in one, 18 minutes. (Pawtucket) CHARLES AHEARN & CO: This well-known comedy cycling act went like wild fire. Made a great closer. Held the house to the finish and scored an unmistakable hit. Very strong finish. Special drops in five, 10 minutes. (Toledo) MOTION PICTURES: Pathe Weekly, O.K.
