TRENT THEATRE CRITICISM, WEEK OF MARCH 18, 1912 By J. F. Clancy AFTERNOON SHOW ADAIR & [DAMM?] This is a very fair wire act, as far as wire acts go, but I think attractions of this kind have lost their novelty in so far as vaudeville is concerned, unless they contain some element of the unusual. HOLDEN & HARON A rather entertaining pair of singers and talking comedians. Go very fair in this spot. HUGH J. EMMETT, ASSISTED BY HILDRETH EMMETT A musical and ventriloquial entertainment, the latter predominating to a marked degree. Went very well. HAYDEN, BORDEN & HAYDEN This trio is, without question, the hit of the show. Each member possesses a wonderful amount of versatility and they work with a snap and dash that gets the audience at the very beginning. INTERMISSION ORIGINAL FOUR LONDONS This well known casting act cleaned up today in very good shape. MARY ELIZABETH This much advertised young woman fell down today miserably at the matinee. Personally I like her and think her songs and her comedy extremely bright and clever, but the audience did not think so and expressed themselves accordingly by putting a damper on their applause JESSE L. LASKY'S "THE ANTIQUE GIRL" A typical Lasky act, with the same attention paid to costuming and scenic effects as has always characterized his previous efforts. The act is not quite the kind of an attraction to close a show and at the night show we will movie it a little further up on the bill, probably changing places with the Four Londons.
