B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE. BOSTON SHOW - WEEK MARCH 18 - 1912. (R. G. Larsen.) (Monday night show.) HENRY LEVINE & SOPHIE BENNETT. 10 minutes in one. Olio. This little boy and girl were brought into our show Saturday afternoon to replace Melville & Higgins, who retired on account of "Illness." They made thoroughly good in number four spot, and when Gordon & Nevins left the bill to-day, refusing to open the show, Levine & Bennett replaced them. They sing four numbers, two duets and two solos. The boy, particularly, has a very good voice, and they went as well as any straight singing act we have played in this spot this season. Closed very well. GLENWOOD WHITE, FLORRIE DEMAR & CO. IN "BILL'S WIFE." 18 minutes f.s. Plain kitchen in 3. this is a Wild Western comedy, with four characters, a girl, her lover, a maiden aunt, and an Indian. The aunt disapproves of the girl's choice, and forbids their engagement. The young man disguises himself as a cowboy and puts the aunt through all sorts of paces. Result; she flies to him for protection when he returns in his true character. Got quite a number of laughs, and closed fairly well. FRED DUPREZ. 22 minutes in one. Special drop. Duprez brings an entirely new line of material, all very good. He is also giving a burlesque melodrama that is a decided novelty, and had the audience laughing good at both shows to-day. Closed strong. HANLON BROTHERS & CO. 18 minutes f.s. Special set. Some of the work of these men, especially the mirror stunt and the dance of the ghost and bellboy, is really remarkable. Each of their various surprises was liberally applauded, and they closed very big at both performance[s]. ELLIS & McKENNA. 16 minutes in one. Street and olio. These two men also scored a decided hit. Closed big. MAY TULLY & CO. IN "THE BATTLE CRY OF FREEDOM." 27 minutes f.s. Plain chamber. this is a very good comedy sketch. the theme is decidedly original, the lines bright, and Miss Tully has surrounded herself with a competent company. Got lots of laughs today, and closed strong. JACK WILSON & CO. 27 minutes in one. Street. Wilson has one of the best shows to work with that he has ever had in this house. Stopped the show at both performances, and was compelled to make a speech before the audience would allow him to leave the stage. PAULINE? 33 minutes f.s. C.D. Tapestry. some of this man's feats, such as controlling the flow of blood in the hand of one of his subject's, are really astonishing. Although he closed a very long show, he held the audience in remarkably well to-day. Tuesday morning he gives a demonstration for the benefit of the Boston physicians, and I believe before the week is out he will have them all talking.
