B. F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Cleveland, Ohio - Week March 18th H. A. Daniels. THREE JOSETTY BROTHERS- European Acrobats and Risley ARtists. 8 minutes in one. These men do about the same line of work as the Yoscarrys used to do. It is an excellent act of the kind. CUMMINGS & GLADYINGS ) Eccentric funsters - [12?] minutes in one, change to our own olio in evening. Their bill is misleading. They brought with them an eighteen foot drop which looked like a grease spot on the Hippodrome stage. They are now working in front of our olio. The singing and dancing is fair, all right for this spot, but could not hold up a more important position (Toledo) FRANK BYRON & LOUISE LANGDON- "The Dude Detective" 18 minutes C.D.F. This act is well known in every house on the circuit and it went well to-day as it has on previous occasions. Most always a hit. WILLETTE WHITTAKER ) In Song assisted by WILBUR HILL 12 minutes in two special drop. Same act they presented here last year without any changes. Well received as usual. (Columbus) WALTER S. RUBE DICKINSON - Ex-Justice of the Peace. 16 minutes in one. This man played at the Priscilla last year on the Gussun Time. The fact that he was a ten cent star did not seem to worry either him or the audience a great deal to-day and he can be put down as the hit of the show. The best monologue in one we have had in the Hippodrome in months. He will be welcome in Cleveland as often as you care to send him. (Akron & Youngstown) MEEHAN'S DOGS - A good act but not a great one. The dogs are well trained and do some new stunts. Probably better than the average dog act we get. Well received. 15 minutes in three. Columbus EDGAR ATCHISON-ELY & CO -"BILLY TOMBSTONES" After seeing Sydney Drew play in this act it is difficult to be satisfied with a substitute. These people did well and as the Hippodrome audience has never seen Drew play the sketch, they were not able to make a comparison. 22 minutes. JOHNNY KILBANE - The puzzler of the season. Here is a man who came to Cleveland from San Francisco, was received at the station by 200,000 people, was parade through the streets of Cleveland with seven brass bands and was reviewed by the mayor of the city, from a reviewing stand built in front of the City Hall. Hundreds of columns of newspaper space had been given to this event, and the people of the city were worked up into a frenzy of hero worship. All this dope would lead showmen to believe that a few of these people would attend the theatre and try and see Johnny at close range. There's where we made a mistake. On Monday the orchestra was not sold out at either performance and we did not open the gallery at all during the day. We had anticipated standing room and had engaged one hundred extra chairs for the boxes. If any bright showman can figure out the answer to all this, I will be glad to hear from him. Kilbane skipped the rope, punched the bag a little and boxed three rounds with his manager. I do not know whether the police will allow the boxing to continue during the week or not. If we do not do more business than we did Monday it won't make much difference. 12 minutes
