148 C. E. BARNS. PHILADELPHIA SHOW. MARCH 25, 1912. BOB-TIP CO. 12 min. F. S. Makes a very fair opener, there being a good deal of comedy, acrobatic work, and the two dogs work very well. Fair applause throughout and closed well. Not an act for a stronger spot on the bill, but did well here. PENDLETON SISTERS. 11 min. in one. Three pretty girls, four changes of costume, doing the regulation sisters dancing act. Got some applause after each number, either singly or together and they closed very well. All right for this spot, but might go a little bit further down. THE RIALS. 11 min. F. S. First time here. An act that is quite our of the ordinary from the standpoint of the rings. Introduce considerable comedy that takes very well. The man is especially expert as a tumbler, ring acrobat and juggler. Held the spot in good shape and closed very well. LEIPZIG. 18 min. in one. An interesting demonstration of card palming that held the audience very well. Makes a good appearance, has a clever line of talk and his tricks are certainly mystifying. A good hand after every one of his feats and closed well. HOWARD & McCANE. 25 min. F. S., close in one. Advance applause for Howard. A classy singing act that got big applause all the way through with their original songs, and at the finish were compelled to give three encores. Miss McCane makes a very pretty picture, has a delightful personality, and of course, the songs that were familiar to everybody were strongly applauded. The hit of the show up to this time. Howard was compelled to make a little speech and to sing the popular favorite, "I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now" to immense applause. TOM WISE & CO. 21 min. F. S. Big advance applause for Mr. Wise. Splendid sketch, admirably presented, and Mr. Wise had the added advantage of moist excellent support, particularly in the support of St. James who takes the part of the "Chip of the Old Block." Plot and situations have been described from other houses, and it is safe to say that the high recommendations which the sketch has received elsewhere are fully justified here. In fact, Mr. Wise could make any sketch go, but in this case he has something that perfectly suits him. The interest of the audience was held intensely throughout and the finish was immense. BISON CITY FOUR. 19 min. in one. Carry their own drop. One man works straight, the second a policeman, the third a tramp and the fourth a "Dago." Sing very well, either singly or together, and introduce plenty of comedy that gets the big hand. Held the spot in great shape, with repeated encores. Closed very strong. ROLFE & HIS ROLFONIANS. 24 min. F. S., close in one. This act is greatly improved since its last appearance here and is now one of the most finished features of the kind in Vaudeville and worthy of a strong spot on any bill. Big hand for each one of the selections. Closed strong. HERZOG'S HORSES. 15 min. F. S. Well known on the circuit. Makes a very good closing feature. Plenty of applause and a strong finish. KINETOGRAPH. "Scenes in Killarney." Very interesting travel film. GENERAL REMARKS. A good show that ought to please the Lenten crowd and bring business. The running order is changed as follows:- Orchestra Bob-Tip Co. Pendleton Sisters The Rials Leipzig Howard & McCane Rolfonians Thomas Wise Bison City FOur Herzog's Horses Kinetograph EXIT MARCH
