REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW WEEK MAY 6, 1912---W.W. PROSSER. DeWITT YOUNG & SISTER: Presenting "The College Boy Juggler". Routine of work of the usual kind, much of it being a la Salerno. Well executed and favorably received. Made satisfactory opening act. Woman assistant. Moderately strong finish. Library in three, 10 minutes. (Open) HILDA HAWTHORNE: Well-known woman ventriloquist who scored thoroughly throughout. She did not have an opportunity to finish, owing to a slight disturbance in the balcony created by an obstreporous patron who was ejected, toward the finish of her act. She got along fine, however and no doubt would have finished strong. Olio in one, 12 minutes. (Newark, N.J.) McDEVITT, KELLY & LUCEY: Two men and one woman in "The Piano Movers and the Actress", a typical variety number, consisting of singing, dancing, comedy &c. Went big throughout and finished strong. C.D.F. in three, close in one. 20 minutes. (Cleveland) MONTGOMERY, MEDLEY & CO: Two men and one woman in a dramatic sketch, "A Story of the Hills". This act is reminiscent of Hawley's "Bandit", and a very acceptable number, well staged and well played. Held closest attention throughout. Good dramatic story. Special in four, 18 minutes. (New York City) BOYNTON & MYERS: Two girls in a musical offering consisting of singing, piano playing and violin playing. Very acceptable little number which thoroughly made good. Gave entire satisfaction and finished strong, taking several bows. Olio in one, 19 minutes. (New York City) PAUL DICKEY & CO: In "The Come-Back". The act scored heavily, going big throughout and finishing very strong. Special in four, 26 minutes. (Engaged here permenantly for a run, with new weekly one-act plays and a Summer Vaudeville bill to complete show) CHICK SALES: Character impersonator who made very favorable impression throughout, finishing very strong. Special drop in one, 19 minutes. (Urbana, Ill) AERIAL BARTLETTS: Man and woman in flying trapeze work. Dandy little act which works about as the Flying Martins. Had no trouble in closing show, and the "walk-outs" were few. Won applause throughout and finished strong. Special Cyke in four, 8 minutes. (Indianapolis) MOTION PICTURES: Pathe Weekly, O.K. NOTE:- This bill completes our regular season. Beginning next Monday, we start in with Paul Dickey and Co as a permenant stock feature which will be surrounded by four acts and pictures, with three shows daily.
