C. E. BARNS PHILADELPHIA SHOW JUNE 10, 1912 THE PELOTS 17 min F.S. Man and woman doing the same run of stuff for the past ten years. Going as well as ever. PUCK & LEWIS 16 min in one go to 2 clo in one. Puck of the two Pucks and Miss Lewis. The act consists of Singing, Dancing and Piano work by Puck. Both are very clever and could do better probably later down on the bill. Made absolutely good here to-day. DOROTHY ROGERS & CO. 15 min F.S. A farce comedy on the old lines, employing three babies including a coon kid to bring up the act to a big laugh at the finish. Good situations and character comedy particularly the man who plays the part of the coon servant "Spurgeon". Considerable laughter throughout the act and the big scream at the finish. HARRIET BURT. 13 min in one. A very pretty young woman with a good voice and a winning manner. Her songs were all new and very good. Received plenty of applause after each selection. Her five changes of costume are stunning. MUSICAL CUTTYS 16 min F.S. clo in one. There is little to be said about this act except that it started out with advance applause and received strong appreciation all the way through. They have varied their work particularly with the introduction of three extra pianos in one number. Everyone of their selections got a big hand, and they gave three encores in one. Great favorites here in Philadelphia and will help draw business. FOUR REGALS. 12 min F.S. This is one great novelty act and no mistake. There is scarcely one of their feats which they perform that has been seen here before. Their ability to produce the goods was proven by the applause of the audience which was most enthusiastic. Closed big. MACK & ORTH 25 min in one. Advance hand. These boys are great favorites here and give their old act with some variations and the introduction of two new songs both of which went very well. The close in one was a scream all the way through, and they finished to a very strong hand. NINA PAYNE & CO. "LA SOMNAMBULE" 21 min F.S. Miss Payne is a beautiful dancer and also good in the dramatic parts. The act is very well presented, and the star's support is all that could be desired. The music is original and exceptionally good. Held the interest of the audience right up to the dramatic climax. Closed big. KINETOGRAPH Scenes of the Burbar in India. A very interesting travel film. GENERAL REMARKS An exceptionally strong show with a genuine novelty both in the headline feature and in the Armorers. It should prove thoroughly satisfactory to the vaudeville public.
