C. E. BARNS. PHILADELPHIA SHOW. JUNE 24, 1912 CARL & LILLIAN MULLER 7 min. F. S. This act makes a good opener. Both man and woman are expert with the hoops and their paraphernalia is showy. Got a few hands and closed fairly strong. JOHN HEALY. 14 min. in one. Playing his annual engagement at this house. Held the spot fairly well. "SQUARING ACCOUNTS." 17 min. in two. Harrison Armstrong's sketch along original lines. Just about held this spot, but did not seem to make any particular appeal to our clientele. Closed fair. BELLE STORY. 12 min. in one. Miss Story is a mighty pretty girl who dresses fetchingly and has a very good personality together with extraordinary colorature of voice. Makes a fine impression. Her voice is phenomenal in the upper register and singing with the flute accompaniment is a positive treat. In fact, she was one of the biggest vocal hits we have had in a long time and is sure to be talked about. Closed very strong. WROE'S DANCERS. 26 min. Four Scenes, full stage and in one. Mr. Wroe has put on a fine juvenile feature here every year, but this is the brightest and best of all. Whether working solo, twos or with the entire cast of twenty-five little people, it is one of the prettiest boy and girl acts in vaudeville and it is a matter of regret that other theatres on the circuit cannot book it, as it would be a decided hit anywhere. SAM MANN & CO., "The New Leader." 28 min. F. S. Same act as presented here before by Mr. Mann and very amusing. Continued laughter over the funny situations and lines, finishing with big applause. BEN WELCH. 16 min. in one. Opened with his usual material, the latter half being entirely new stuff. All of it went big. In fact, Welch never went better in this house on a Monday afternoon than he did today. BOBKER'S ARABS. 11 min. in full stage. One big whirlwind acrobatic act and no mistake. Costumes and picturesque oriental style, with lots of shouting and hurrahing, and as for their sandstorm athletic work, it is great - some of it the best of its kind ever seen here. Strong applause throughout. Made a fine finish. Pretty nearly an ideal closer. KINETOGRAPH. The Pathe Weekly film which comes in very pat as President Taft shows up very strongly in two different sections. GENERAL REMARKS. Taking this week's bill as a sample, our patrons are requesting us to run Summer shows all Winter. CUT SQUARING ACCOUNTS. "Sly old devil."
