Maryland Theatre Report. Baltimore, Week of Sept. 9th. 1912. Creighton Bros. - 12 min. in 1 - One of the Three Josettys was taken sick, and act could not work, consequently was compelled to open with Creighton Bros. and they did the trick in fine shape. Sager Midgely & Co. 18 min. in full stage. A very poor sketch, poorly played by a weak trio of would be commedians. Moved from fifth at the Matinee, to this spot. Farber Sisters.- 12 min. in 1. Two dainty Misses doing a pleasing act, consisting of songs and dances. Henry E. Dixey.- 20 min. in 2.- Dixey is a finished actor, and his little offering which is thoroughly artistic was [ocreeably?] accepted by our audiences. INTERMISSION...... Artie Hall- 15 min. in 1- Her coon shouting songs pleased greatly and she was really a big applause hit. James Cullen. - 16 min. in 1- Held this spot in fine shape, all his material going big and was the one laughing hit of the show. Maud Hall Macy and Company of 10 people augmented by 8 supers, in the dramatic playlet "In The Gray of the Dawn" carrying their own special set, and runing 21 minutes. The theme deals with the life in the underworld, introducing all natural characters and a story that carries with it a great moral lesson. This act is certainly the gem of all dramatic offerings, as it gripped the attention of the entire house, held them throughout and closed with a wild burst of enthusiasm. The cast is the best that I have ever seen in a vaudeville sketch, and closed this show on a hot afternoon and night to many curtain calls. Kinetograph. O.K.
