REPORT ON COLUMBUS SHOW WEEK NOV. 17, 1915 --- W.W.PROSSER. CLAUDE RANF: "Luncheon A La Wire". Quite a good slack wire offering in which the performer does several stunts that are very well executed. Held attention throughout and finished fairly strong. Garden in 2, 7 minutes. (Cleveland) VAN BROTHERS: Two men, comedy and straight, presenting a combination of talk and instrumental work on zither and saxaphone. A very good offering which proved highly worth while, making good throughout and finishing strong. Special in 1, 20 minutes. (Youngstown & Akron) FREDERIKA SLEMONS & CO: Two women and two men in a comedy slang sketch "Liz" - an interesting story well told. Unusually good lines throughout. There are plenty of laughs and the interest is maintained from beginning to end. The playlet is out of the beaten path, and is, in fact, an offering which should find favor, generally. A good comedy twist worked out a fine finish. C.D.F. in 3, 21 minutes. (New York City) BARRY & WOLFORD: Chatter Singers. The same line of material they have always given us. Just medium, not bad, but seen here too often. Moderately strong finish. Street in 1, 14 minutes. (Washington D.C.) SAM MANN & CO: In his wellknown comedy of vaudeville life, "The New Leader". The act made good throughout, gaining many laughs and finishing strong. Bare stage, 30 minutes. (Syracuse) THE THREE HEDDERS: Man, woman and young girl equilibrists. A very excellent number of its kind. Makes an A.1. appearance. All their work is very capably presented. Applause at various points and a strong finish. Special in 3, 8 minutes. (Open) MOTION PICTURES: O.K.
